Life in Banff Trail
Banff Trail sits northeast of Crowchild Trail and 16 Avenue NW, with Confederation Park to the north. The area became part of Calgary in 1910 and its community association formed in 1955. About 37% of homes were built before 1961 and 30% between 1961 and 1980, and 17% are newer than 2011, so you’ll find original bungalows beside new infills, semi-detached homes and duplexes.
Banff Trail station on the Red Line sits beside McMahon Stadium, home of the Calgary Stampeders and the 1988 Winter Olympics ceremonies. The University of Calgary, SAIT, the Foothills Medical Centre and the Alberta Children’s Hospital are all close, and William Aberhart High School and Banff Trail School are in the community.
Who Tends to Love It Here
Banff Trail tends to suit people who work or study at the university, SAIT or the Foothills hospital, investors looking at rental homes and infill lots, and buyers who want an inner-city CTrain station on the doorstep.
