Tuscany
Tuscany is a well-established community on Calgary’s northwest edge. It’s one of the few suburban communities I cover with its own C-Train station, and it also has the private Tuscany Club and quick access to Crowchild Trail and Stoney Trail.

Life in Tuscany
Tuscany was established in 1994 on Calgary’s western edge. Crowchild Trail runs along its south side, Stoney Trail is to the east, and Twelve Mile Coulee Road is to the west, next to Bearspaw. It has its own C-Train station, Tuscany Station, which is the northwest end of the Red Line. Residents also get access to the Tuscany Club, a private amenity centre run by the residents’ association.
Who It's Right For
It’s a great fit for commuters who want the C-Train without living downtown, families who want an established community with its own schools, and buyers who’d enjoy a private residents’ club.

Pros
- One of the few suburban communities I cover with its own C-Train station (Tuscany Station, the northwest end of the Red Line)
- The private Tuscany Club, an amenity centre run by the residents’ association
- One of the highest median household incomes of the communities I cover ($142,000 vs. $98,000 citywide), and the lowest share of households stretched on housing costs (16% vs. 23%)
- Established since 1994, with mature trees and its own elementary, middle and Catholic schools
Cons
- A Walk Score of 23 is the lowest of the communities I cover. Even with the C-Train, the layout means you’ll drive a lot
- North West district prices were down 0.66% for detached homes, 2.01% for row houses and townhouses, and 7.97% for apartments from a year earlier as of September 2026
- It’s on the far west edge of the city, so the drive to the south or east side is longer
- A Bike Score of 33, because of hilly terrain and not much dedicated bike infrastructure
