Life in Coach Hill
Coach Hill sits in west Calgary between Sarcee Trail and 69 Street SW, from Bow Trail up to Old Banff Coach Road. The land was annexed in 1956 and the community was established in 1979. It’s named after Old Banff Coach Road, once used by stagecoaches heading to Banff, and its hillside setting gives many homes views of downtown. About 49% of homes were built between 1961 and 1980 and 29% in the 1980s.
Coach Hill has a real mix: detached homes, a large share of townhomes, low-rise and mid-rise condos and an adult community for those 50 and older. It shares a community association with Patterson, with a centre on Old Banff Coach Road. Bow Trail runs straight downtown, 69 Street station on the Blue Line is close, and Stoney Trail and the mountains are minutes west.
Who Tends to Love It Here
Coach Hill tends to suit downsizers looking at a townhome or condo with a view, first-time buyers looking for a west-side condo, and commuters who use Bow Trail or the Blue Line.

Coach Hill Real Estate Market
The benchmark prices below are CREB®’s own community-level figures for Coach Hill wherever CREB® publishes one; any home type without enough sales this month uses the West district instead, and months of supply and the sales-to-new-listings ratio are district figures. These are CREB®’s published figures, not my estimates. If you want to know what homes on a particular street have actually sold for, ask me and I’ll pull the recent sales.
