Life in Cornerstone
Cornerstone is being developed by Anthem in northeast Calgary, inside Stoney Trail on both sides of Country Hills Boulevard. It’s very new: 94% of homes standing at the 2021 Census were built between 2016 and 2021, and the developer says about 2,500 homes have been built so far.
Highstreet at Cornerstone has shops and services, and there are parks, playgrounds, a wetland and a stormpond, with more regional parks, a dog park and pathways planned. Downtown is about 20 minutes away by Stoney Trail or Deerfoot Trail.
Who Tends to Love It Here
Cornerstone tends to suit buyers who want a brand-new home, growing families who’ll use the new parks and future schools, and first-time buyers looking at semi-detached homes and townhouses.

Cornerstone Real Estate Market
The benchmark prices below are CREB®’s own community-level figures for Cornerstone wherever CREB® publishes one; any home type without enough sales this month uses the North East district instead, and months of supply and the sales-to-new-listings ratio are district figures. These are CREB®’s published figures, not my estimates. If you want to know what homes on a particular street have actually sold for, ask me and I’ll pull the recent sales.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cornerstone
Have a question that isn’t here? Ask me and I’ll get back to you, usually the same day.
Are there schools in Cornerstone?
Not yet. According to the developer, a public high school has construction funding and is targeted for 2029, and an elementary school and a middle school are in design for about 2029 to 2030. A Catholic K to 9 school is also in design. Until then, students go to schools in nearby communities.
What do homes in Cornerstone cost?
CREB®’s October 2026 benchmarks are $606,500 for detached homes (Cornerstone) and $415,100 for semi-detached homes (North East district). Where CREB® doesn’t publish a Cornerstone-only figure, I’ve used the district benchmark. I’m happy to pull recent sales for the homes you’re looking at.
Is it a buyer’s or seller’s market in Cornerstone?
In October 2026, detached homes in the North East district had 4.23 months of supply and a 53.97% sales-to-new-listings ratio (CREB®). As a rough guide, under about 3 months of supply favours sellers, 3 to 4 months is balanced, and over about 4 months starts to favour buyers. Townhomes and condos can behave differently, so ask me for the numbers on the type of home you want.
Who is developing Cornerstone?
Anthem is the development partner, and several builders offer homes in the community.
How far is Cornerstone from downtown?
About 20 minutes by Stoney Trail or Deerfoot Trail outside rush hour, according to the developer.
Which schools are near Cornerstone?
You’ll find the closest schools, with distances, in the What’s Nearby section above. Designated schools can change from year to year, so check the address with the CBE or the Calgary Catholic School District before you buy.
