Life in Kincora

Kincora sits in the Symons Valley area of northwest Calgary, bounded by 128 Avenue to the north, Symons Valley Road to the east, Stoney Trail to the south and Shaganappi Trail to the west. It was established in 2002, with land developed by Apex Land and Genesis, and almost every home was built after 2000.

You’ll find two-storey family homes, townhomes and low-rise condos, many on ridges and ravines with walking paths. The City’s Symons Valley Centre, with a new library planned for 2028, is just north in Sage Hill, and Stoney Trail and Shaganappi Trail make commuting easy.

Who Tends to Love It Here

Kincora tends to suit families who want a newer home without buying brand new, first-time buyers looking at townhomes and condos, and commuters who drive Stoney Trail.

Nearby in north Calgary: Sage Hill, Evanston, Nolan Hill and Hidden Valley. Buying your first home? See the first-time buyer programs.

The Trade-offs

  • No CTrain service nearby, so most people drive

Kincora Real Estate Market

The benchmark prices below are CREB®’s own community-level figures for Kincora wherever CREB® publishes one; any home type without enough sales this month uses the North district instead, and months of supply and the sales-to-new-listings ratio are district figures. These are CREB®’s published figures, not my estimates. If you want to know what homes on a particular street have actually sold for, ask me and I’ll pull the recent sales.

Frequently Asked Questions About Kincora

Have a question that isn’t here? Ask me and I’ll get back to you, usually the same day.

No. The nearest CTrain stations are well to the south, so most residents drive or take the bus. Stoney Trail and Shaganappi Trail are right at the edge of the community.

CREB®’s October 2026 benchmarks are $717,900 for detached homes (Kincora) and $373,400 for row and townhouses (North district). Where CREB® doesn’t publish a Kincora-only figure, I’ve used the district benchmark. I’m happy to pull recent sales for the homes you’re looking at.

Mostly two-storey detached homes built in the 2000s and 2010s, plus townhomes and low-rise condos.

In northwest Calgary’s Symons Valley, bounded by 128 Avenue to the north, Symons Valley Road to the east, Stoney Trail to the south and Shaganappi Trail to the west.

In October 2026, detached homes in the North district had 3.75 months of supply and a 51.32% sales-to-new-listings ratio (CREB®). As a rough guide, under about 3 months of supply favours sellers, 3 to 4 months is balanced, and over about 4 months starts to favour buyers.

You’ll find the closest schools, with distances, in the What’s Nearby section above. Designated schools can change from year to year, so check the address with the CBE or the Calgary Catholic School District before you buy.
