Life in Legacy
Legacy sits at the far south end of the city, east of Macleod Trail and south of Stoney Trail, next to Walden. It’s one of Calgary’s newer communities: every home standing at the 2021 Census was built in 2011 or later, and more than two-thirds went up between 2016 and 2021.
There are more than 15 km of pathways, plus parks, playgrounds and ponds, and a growing commercial area with shops, restaurants and services. Macleod Trail and Stoney Trail are close for getting around the city.
Who Tends to Love It Here
Legacy tends to suit first-time buyers looking at a newer condo or townhouse, young families who want a new house with parks close by, and people who work in the south end.
Nearby in south Calgary: Pine Creek, Evergreen and Cranston. Buying your first home? See the first-time buyer programs.

Legacy Real Estate Market
The benchmark prices below are CREB®’s own community-level figures for Legacy wherever CREB® publishes one; any home type without enough sales this month uses the South district instead, and months of supply and the sales-to-new-listings ratio are district figures. These are CREB®’s published figures, not my estimates. If you want to know what homes on a particular street have actually sold for, ask me and I’ll pull the recent sales.
