Life in Rangeview

Rangeview is being developed by Section23 Developments in southeast Calgary, on land the founder’s family farmed for nearly a century, and it’s named after the prairie schoolhouse his father attended. Seton’s shops, the YMCA and the South Health Campus are next door, with Stoney Trail close by.

The community is built around food and gardens: community and private gardens, a greenhouse, pollinator gardens and fruit orchards, plus public squares, a greenbelt, a natural wetland, pathways and playgrounds. A homeowners association runs festivals and gardening lessons through the year.

Who Tends to Love It Here

Rangeview tends to suit buyers who want a brand-new home, gardeners and families who like the idea of growing food together, and anyone who wants Seton’s amenities and the South Health Campus close by.

Nearby in southeast Calgary: Seton, Cranston and Hotchkiss.

Is Rangeview Right for You?

Who Lives in Rangeview

Rangeview is too new for the 2021 Census: the City of Calgary hasn’t published a community profile for it yet.

Frequently Asked Questions About Rangeview

Have a question that isn’t here? Ask me and I’ll get back to you, usually the same day.

It’s planned as Calgary’s first garden-to-table community, with community gardens, a greenhouse, pollinator gardens and fruit orchards, and a homeowners association that runs gardening lessons and festivals.

CREB® doesn’t publish a Rangeview-only number. The closest are the South East district benchmarks for October 2026: $695,700 for detached homes and $503,400 for semi-detached homes. I’m happy to pull recent sales for the homes you’re looking at.

In October 2026, detached homes in the South East district had 3.16 months of supply and a 57.01% sales-to-new-listings ratio (CREB®). As a rough guide, under about 3 months of supply favours sellers, 3 to 4 months is balanced, and over about 4 months starts to favour buyers. Townhomes and condos can behave differently, so ask me for the numbers on the type of home you want.

Section23 Developments, founded by Robert Ollerenshaw, whose family farmed the land for nearly a century. Several builders offer homes there.

Yes. Seton’s shops, restaurants and theatre, the Brookfield Residential YMCA and the South Health Campus are right next door.

You’ll find the closest schools, with distances, in the What’s Nearby section above. Designated schools can change from year to year, so check the address with the CBE or the Calgary Catholic School District before you buy.
