Life in Taradale

Taradale is one of three neighbouring northeast communities, with Saddle Ridge and Martindale, reached by Métis Trail and 80 Avenue NE, close to Calgary International Airport. Most homes were built between 2001 and 2010, so it’s settled, with mature parks and schools.

The Genesis Centre in Taradale has fitness, health and recreation facilities, a Calgary Public Library branch and indoor and outdoor soccer fields. The Saddletowne CTrain station and park-and-ride sit in the middle of the three communities.

Who Tends to Love It Here

Taradale tends to suit families who want a house with a yard in an established area, buyers who want a home with a basement suite or room for extended family, and people who’ll use the CTrain and the Genesis Centre.

Nearby in northeast Calgary: Saddle Ridge, Skyview Ranch and Cornerstone.

Taradale Real Estate Market

The benchmark prices below are CREB®’s own community-level figures for Taradale wherever CREB® publishes one; any home type without enough sales this month uses the North East district instead, and months of supply and the sales-to-new-listings ratio are district figures. These are CREB®’s published figures, not my estimates. If you want to know what homes on a particular street have actually sold for, ask me and I’ll pull the recent sales.

Frequently Asked Questions About Taradale

Have a question that isn’t here? Ask me and I’ll get back to you, usually the same day.

Yes. The Saddletowne station and park-and-ride, at the end of the northeast CTrain line, sit in the middle of Saddle Ridge, Martindale and Taradale.

CREB®’s October 2026 benchmarks are $572,800 for detached homes (Taradale) and $415,100 for semi-detached homes (North East district). Where CREB® doesn’t publish a Taradale-only figure, I’ve used the district benchmark. I’m happy to pull recent sales for the homes you’re looking at.

In October 2026, detached homes in the North East district had 4.23 months of supply and a 53.97% sales-to-new-listings ratio (CREB®). As a rough guide, under about 3 months of supply favours sellers, 3 to 4 months is balanced, and over about 4 months starts to favour buyers. Townhomes and condos can behave differently, so ask me for the numbers on the type of home you want.

A large recreation centre in Taradale with fitness, health and recreation services, a Calgary Public Library branch, and indoor and outdoor soccer fields.

A fair number. At the 2021 Census, 12% of homes in Taradale were suites in a house or duplex, three times the city average. Always check whether a suite is legal and permitted before you buy.

You’ll find the closest schools, with distances, in the What’s Nearby section above. Designated schools can change from year to year, so check the address with the CBE or the Calgary Catholic School District before you buy.
